Stamp tied by cork killer with I.J. POSTAL AGENCY / SHANGHAI cds. alongside. Front shows YOKOHMAMA transit, and reverse bears magenta SAN FRANCISCO and LOWELL, MASS arrival c.d.s.'s. An extremely rare example of mail dispatched outside of Shanghai and handled solely by the Japanese Post.
