Thanks , Erwin Danziger Your stamp has a private overprint applied by the Hong Kong Daily Press to prevent employees from selling the stamps or using them on private correspondence. This was not an uncommon practice in the British Empire. You can see an example from Ceylon on the main Grose Educational Media site. The stamp would probably be valued at a small premium above the catalogue price of the normal stamp. There are some examples of similar stamps on E-Bay. - Derrick Grose (2011-01-03)
