10. The attached HONG KONG stamp has a D P overprint. What does the D P stand for? Is it a REVENUE? or what? Is it of any significant value? Where do I find its value ? Your stamp has a private overprint applied by the Hong Kong Daily Press to prevent employees from selling the stamps or using them on private correspondence. This was not an uncommon practice in the British Empire. You can see an example from Ceylon on the main Grose Educational Media site.
