1954 Singapore Air Crash
On March 13, 1954, a BOAC Lockheed Constellation L-749A (Registration G-ALAM, pilot T W Hoyle) flew from Sydney to London.
With intermediate stopping points at Darwin, Koepang, Surabaya, and Batavia, the aircraft crashed and caught fire on the approach
to Kallang Airport, Singapore with a loss of 31 passengers and two crew members.
