Here is a 1866 cover which has a special mark: "Forwarded By" "Trazar CO." "SHANGHAI". The cover was forwarded by a private company (TRAZAR CO.) to the Shanghai British post office (SHANGHAE 66 SP 10 (or 20)), transitioned at Hong Kong (HONGKONG 66 SP 24), then kept its journey to London (LONDON 12 NO 66), finally it arrived its destination: New York, USA.
Does anyone know about this kind of private company which can forward letters to the post office
Anyone has similar mark and know more information about it
Any articles or books talking about this kind of mark (Since it is a private company, it may not listed or discussed in many postal history books.)

Robert, what 老由said is true. You could easily find this type of private Forwarded mail under China Treaty Port selections.
Interasia auction normally will cater a section for this. You can browse through their past auctions for reference. 作者: 假师爷 时间: 2014-11-15 14:02
Thank you very much. I did not notice this kind of mark in the past as I usually do not view the Hong Kong part in auction catalog. Learn something new again. 作者: 假师爷 时间: 2014-11-15 14:04
Thanks for your information, I searched "Forwarded By" in the InterAsia auction and found some similar covers. It is good to learn and know this part of history.
